La Pension du Diable

Times are hard, even for the Devil! The Prince of Darkness hopes to enjoy a comfortable retirement, and therefore recruits a group of young American management consultants who specialize in efficiency and productivity. These golden boys turn out to be unscrupulous sharks, who take Satan’s out-dated methods and bring Hell into the age of the Global Economy. When it comes to evil, has the Devil met his match?  The composer Marc-Oliver Dupin takes the suite from Stravinsky’s Soldier’s Tale and plunges the Devil into the administrative hell of today’s world… Composed for children’s choir, La Pension du Diable will be performed here by youngsters from a CM2 class and a 6^thgrade class, in a project that seeks to prepare and accompany the children during their transition from primary to middle school. And what better way than art, tireless creative force to build bridges between people and cultures, to illuminate and facilitate this amazing adventure we call growing up?
