Saison Sèche

A new opus from the choreographer Phia Menard, Saison Sècheis a committed and definite work that violently questions patriarchal power and the assignment of genders in our modern societies. In a confined box, a closed area of antiseptic white that sometimes crushes and sometimes organises the scant space, the bodies of seven women fight, shiver, convulse until they find their collective power, which enables the birth of liberating ritual. Borrowing from dance, the plastic arts, theatre and cinema, constituting thus a proteiform artistic universe, Phia Menard leads the public into a telluric experience that dives deep into the struggle against norms and for the revindication of free and unassigned identities.
